Emma grew up in the coastal village of Walberswick in Suffolk, where she had the wonderful fortune to be taught to sew by her Aunty when she was nine. Armed with her granny’s sheets, pebbles from the beach, her mother’s old saucepan and some pots of dye, a career in fashion began.
Later, having graduated with a BA Honors Degree in Fashion, Emma continued to improve her skills by making clothes not only for herself but for family and friends, too. In 1997, after many years of designing as a hobby, she finally decided to start up her own business. Combining her flare for fashion and awareness of garment construction, Emma designed and made a small collection of wedding dresses and, thus, the Emma Hunt label was born.
16 years on and Emma has built a reputation for creating exquisite dresses of the highest quality. Drawing on previous experience in hospitality, Emma offers exceptional customer service, giving a truly personal approach and aiming for individual perfection with every client and dress. She gives her undivided attention to both, through consultations and fittings, going above and beyond to ensure each and every client walks away with their dream dress. Award-winning bridal designer Terry Fox knows what she is doing. Her show-stopping gowns have been delighting brides for years and while her signature flamboyant style of heavily embellished corsets with theatrical skirts remain a passion, her current Siren Song collection adopts a much more Boho feel for today’s modern bride. It has been said that Terry was responsible for bringing the vintage trend to the UK.
Using only the finest silks, satins and lace, each Terry Fox dress is made by hand in the UK. A skilled team works from the magical Bury St Edmunds showroom where every bead, sequin or flower are lovingly put onto each gown individually.
Terry began her career working alongside such fashion greats as Zandra Rhodes, Bellville Sassoon and the Emmanuels, where she learnt her trade. In her early career she sold her initial designs to Harrods and ran a sewing school at Liberty’s in London, where she taught the intricacies of corsetry. She became a regular contributor on the iconic BBC Clothes Show series, worked with Elton John to create a gown for his Nikita video and more recently Terry has been supplying jaw-dropping gowns for Strictly Come Dancing contestants.
And this is true of the made-to-measure bridal collections that Terry now creates for stockists all over the world.
The 2015 collection ranges from gowns which are gorgeously glamorous to those which are simply elegant. Add in the Terry Fox signature style of quirky, fun and vintage and you have a wide choice of wearable works of art which use only the finest fabrics and laces.
“Wedding dresses make dreams come true. It is my absolute mission to meet the challenge of each and every individual bride to make them the perfect dress, so there is a lot of soul-searching, memories, thoughts, relationships and wishes that go into the mix to get it right. What other dress would you put that much effort into?”
Terry offers a one-to-one couture service at the enchanting studio where crystal jars overflow with antique beads and pearls, Parisian armoires are filled with beautiful fabrics, and crystal cake stands are full of painted silk flowers, ribbons and trimmings. This appointment only service gives brides an insight into the enchanting world of Terry Fox.
In 2013 Terry was awarded the Best Bridal Designer of the Year by the UK Wedding Industry Awards.
“I approach designing a dress as if I have an artist’s brush and a blank canvas in my hands; I need the picture to move and change as your eyes wander across the design, focussing on detailed embellishment along the way, and finding something new and even more intriguing on the way back.”
Christine and Jane are the creative talents behind the successful Loulou label which celebrated its 21st birthday in 2012!
After graduating from the London College of Fashion in Design and Pattern Cutting, they worked together for a small London based bridal company where in 1991 with a wealth of experience and a shared passion for bridal wear, they decided to create Loulou, their own label specializing in bridesmaid dresses.
These distinctive designs were chic and contemporary leading to Christine and Jane accepting the British Bridal Award for Best Bridesmaid design no less than 4 times.
A funky range of prom dresses followed that were bright and exciting, edgy dresses for discerning girls and soon after, the Loulou Bridal Collection was launched.
This latest addition to the Loulou label encapsulates quintessential British design inspired by all things vintage. The dresses are evocative of the 1950’s and combine beautiful lace appliqué short wedding gowns with effortless styling, establishing a signature for future collections.
‘‘Our success comes down to enjoying what we do. We still have a passion to create new designs, enjoy meeting customers and love the challenge of keeping ahead of the others!’’

I have always loved shoes since I was a small child, it’s been a lifelong obsession!
After school I studied a Fashion and Textile degree in Birmingham, where I specialised in hand made embroidered shoes for my final degree work.
During my degree I had been fortunate enough to do work experience with renowned shoe designers Emma Hope and Jimmy Choo at their studios in London, it was doing this that gave me the confidence to go it alone and set up my own studio in Islington, London in 1988!
I forged good working relationships with the bridal press and regularly had my shoes featured in all the magazines, after making a pair for one of the editors, they were featured in the magazine and I arrived in my studio one morning to find my answerphone completely full of brides to be wanting my shoes! After that I never looked back and wedding shoes have been my passion ever since. It’s a privilege to be part of someone’s big day.
One of my proudest moments was being commissioned to make a pair of wedding shoes for the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, it’s an amazing feeling knowing something you’ve made will become a little piece of history.
I now live in the beautiful Cotswolds, working from my garden studio, and am Head of Design for Rainbow Club, whom I joined in 2006, I absolutely love my job designing for all of the Rainbow Club collections and am lucky enough to work alongside a great team, the Hassall range is of course dearest to my heart!
I’ve known Lynette at Boho Bride Boutique for many years, she’s a great friend and a total professional. The shop is beautiful, with a lovely romantic, vintage feel, and full of gorgeous dresses and accessories, a really lovely environment to choose your dream dress, and of course Lynette’s service is second to none.

“Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and having fun”
Mary Lou Cook.
Designing is our passion and our inspirations are widespread: the subtle palette of the Impressionists, vintage fashion plates, silver screen movie stars and theatrical design not to mention our mothers who introduced us to the sewing machine. We love understated glamour and like nothing more than a well cut dress with clean lines and romantic detailing. For us everything is in the detail.
While we love what we do, our business could never have worked so effectively if we weren’t such great friends. ‘LouLou’ (a combination of our middle names) was set up in 1991 and today, over twenty years later; we are still together despite the competing demands of a design partnership, friendship and motherhood. We put this down to loyalty, quiet determination, a willingness to think positively, a shared sense of humour and a great deal of laughter along the way.
We remain as passionately committed to quality design as we always have been which is unmistakable in our exciting first Louise Bentley collection.
